A few people have coil conversiosn but it might be easier to get a stock coil one and upgrade it from there or coil difs and then change them unless u want to fabricate the whole lot yourself...

wats wrong with leaf? It seems to go well unless u really want coil for some competion/extreme beast.... A few people on here have both too...

ive got an Isuzu 1.8 Diesel in a LWB, the motor is out of a TG Gemini, also running the Gemi 5spd. Very slow on road with 32s'(also 5.29 Diffs), but picked up a bit with 36's, will be heaps better if i ever get a turbo. I didnt fit it, was in the car when i got it. Theirs also a 3.1 Turbo Diesel in another LWB ive seen, i think its for sale?

coils

Post by Zachius »

yeah just trying to work out how to mount the front spring on hte side closest to the diff centre up front as the housing is still on a fair angle under the chassis rail where u would normally mount your spring...

and i want coils cause they should give a more comfy ride, they don't tend to break (already had a leave break in my zook for no apparent reason)....

and VW motor from which car??

D a search onhere there have been numerous discusions on diesels as well as coil conversions. Sam at Overkill Engineering offers a coil conversion kit. The VW are not available here but it is available as a kit from the US, used to be Keltec but I think Rocky Road does thhem now
