I have a GQ SWB with a 5" lift and a 2" body lift. I get the 35" MTR's in 2 days and was wondering what gearing issues i might have?

Which year model will be the best? This is what I am after. I have already lifted a raised my old SWB Patrol but do not know the zook models.

a stock one wont get any looks from the qld transport

depends on the driving u want to do,if u want to do the hard stuff then ull proberly get defected

Yeah i did the 2" lift on my MQ SWB which I brought the poly blocks off Ebay and got the blots from a place in Mackay. I was wondering if the diameter of the blocks are different or all they all universal. If they are all the same I will chase some up.

Yeah well if someone wanted to help with a SOA I would do it. Otherwise a 4WD shop said it will cost around $2000 to $3000.

What are the best leaf springs and shocks for a lift.

That's where I got mine from and I think it was from the same person for $10 each.

The lift was so easy to do.

Just did my 2" lift today. All up it cost me $105. I did get quoted $850 by a mob in Brisbanes Northside.

" Get bolts, washers etc from a bolts place (use nylocs). Bolts are the most expensive part (around $80-100). "

My High Tensil bolts costs me $1.45 each and Nyloc nuts cost me $45c each.

Do it yourself it's a peice of pizz.

Just did my 2" body lift today. Just look under the car and you will see the mount points. It took at little be longer than expected as the little fellow took off with the extension socket, kids.

Anyway, 2" lift made no difference to my steering.

Well looks like you guys are having fine.

Anyway, just stripped the car and repainted it white. The guys at the paint and panel shop steered me towards 2Pac. But after the filler primmer and the 2 coats where added, the job looks pretty lame. But what else can you expect from a $24 spare gun. But ...

I have done the searches and read the threads, but is it hard to do a leaf over axle conversion. I went to a couple of suspension places in Mackay and they will not do it as it is ilegal in QLD, anyway what is needed.

I want this thing lifted and if I need to i will just go body and leaf ...
