why mesure the temp in the sump, there is a mixture of hot and cooled oil, it would be like mesuringing the engine from the bottom tank of the radiator. I would prefer to get the oil reading at the hottest point as this is the acutal temp of the transmission

if fitting a trans temp guage It is very important to fit the sender into the transmissions out going cooler union that the oil uses when leaving the transmission on it's way towards the oil cooler and we needed to measure the temperature before it was cooled and not after. There are 2 good reasons ...

[quote="oldmate"]looking at the website the price isn't that enticing either

"Kit prices range from $735 to $885 + GST"

that will get you a cheap electric winch.

But if you have to add on the price of a winch Bar to that price, it gets very expensive.

I think the problem might be that all tanks have an 80% fill valve. During hot weather, the gas in the tank may expand by up to 250% . Therefore the valve is sensinging that the tank is full , when it isnt.

i would agree that if you only want to spend $200 go the overlander, but in my experience lead plate batteries dont like the vibration and shakes of off raod driving. Gel or fibermat batteries are better suited to off road work.

wont work otherwise...
why do you need lockers , if you look into the product properly, it is 1 rope that runs between both wheels, negates the need for a locker.
