chasing a template for an airtec snorkel to suit a hj75 ute petrol. anyine got one out there. local 4x4 place wants $150 to fit or $80 fr the template, which i thought was a bit steep for a peice of paper. any help would be great

was thinking that but this thing is only for the missus to drive to and from the station everyday. got my cruiser ute for weekend stuff and hopefully the fj40 will be ready soon aswell.
just want to get this thing to drive as she is killing the commodore. 6 bales of hay in a vt sedan.

surf engine and body questions

just picked up a surf for a carton, with a motor in peices and half the wiring chopped. my main question is anyone got a motor to suit these that they want to sell cheap?

also are the body panels on these models the same fitment as the 4runners?

just looking at getting new rims with my tires i have ordered. they are baja clawa 35 inch, just wondering what sort of backspacing i should be running? or what is the maximum backspacing you can get and still be safe? it will be going on a fj75 series ute

just want to double check before i lob in this weekend. been told that for a 2 inch B/L all i need are the blocks and bolts. no steering shaft ext or brake line modifacations are needed. is this correct

yeah the 3f seem to be a good motor. i picked up mine from a mechanic who had the logbooks. he bought it at 154000kms with all services done, he kept a record of services and maintance and the motor has 472000 and still sounds new. just goes to show you keep the services up to date and they will ...

i hate computer controlled cars because they are a pain and usualy require a tow when they stop on the side of the road or in the bush. carby cars can nearly always get you beack home. with the 1uz. do you keep the same gearbox, clutch etc? wled on new engine mounts or are they just adapters to bolt ...

looking at purchasing a 3 inch efs kit to suit the crusier with shocks, castor plates, u bolts etc. just wondering if the drop shackles are worth while getting aswell while im doing the suspension. it will save me buying shocks agains in a few months. any good or bad things about them? i cant see ...

its an 88 model witht the 3f. was hoping to put the newer bonett on with the grille just to make it look tidier. it will see mosty touring with little stints of rock crawling, hence the reason i wanted it to look half decent. so just to make sure i have this right, i can put a grille on up to 06 ...

i just bought a fj75 with a few little rust issues on the front guard, grille and bonnett. just wondering if i can bolt brand new cruiser grille bonnett and guards on it are they different bolt patterns.

what sort of kms do you get out of these motors. just trying to see if my motor needs a big tune up. i went through half a tank and it drove 160 kms. is this the sort of milage the rest of you get with these things?

although would dobinsons flex as good as efs? or are there flexier leafs you can buy standard?

free is a little bit less than i had in mind. i would sell just the car without the diffs and new suspension for $1500 with all the oils changed, new filters, and the motor running better than the day it left the factory.

yes, sounds weird. but its kept in western sydney. at my girl's dads place. i work in newcastle 6 days a week. so without a licence i will be living in newcastle for 3 months, and i cant leave the shorty sitting on his front lawn for 3 months.
