Tool was $540 I was thinking about routing the cable and cutting to the appropriate lengths as you suggested but I don't know many sparky's who will be open on Sunday or Monday. A mate said he used to use teh same sort of tool when he worked for Telstra but he didn't get to keep one when he left.

crimping tool for battery cable lugs

I am looking to do some re-wiring over the weekend and have the cable and stuff ready to go but I had to change my pants after I found out the price for a crimp tool to do the lugs. Does anybody know where you ca hire a crimp tool (manual, ratchet or hydraulic) for crimping lugs on 50mm2 cable? Or ...

Well CP5 didn't see too much action. After a couple of hours the first car, Shane, came through and drove the CP without a drama then it was another 90 minutes before the next batch hit. Rod drove it OK but a V8 Hilux with some front guard and rear axle damage from an earlier CP turned up, the axle ...

Can you paint coil springs?

Like the topic title says, can you paint coil springs?

I have different coloured springs front and rear and was just wondering whether I could paint them to be the same and expect the paint to stay on when the springs compress and extend, or will it just crack and fall off?

GQ Patrol Extra Cab Photos Wanted

I'm converting my GQ wagon into an extra cab ute and looking for photos of wagons that have already been done so that I can get a sense of what looks good, how big to make it, etc. I've found a few on the net but they are usually on cars which have the chassis extended which doesn't give the right ...

If they stick out then they are illegal. In Qld you can increase diameter by 26mm over the largest size specified by the manufacturer for that vehicle, and increase width by 50% for beam axled 4WD's. So for Patrol's where 32" tyres on split rims were available, 33" tyres should not be illegal.
