rolly and big red tied for first place, jimmy b got second and wes got third overall.

Where to get conveyor belt rubber in Brisbane?
I'm looking to fasion some mudflaps from some fairly stiff rubber and I was told that conveyor belt rubber is the best thing to go for. Can anyone tell me where is best to get it in the brisbane area?

crimping tool for battery cable lugs
I am looking to do some re-wiring over the weekend and have the cable and stuff ready to go but I had to change my pants after I found out the price for a crimp tool to do the lugs.
Does anybody know where you ca hire a crimp tool (manual, ratchet or hydraulic) for crimping lugs on 50mm2 cable ...

Well CP5 didn't see too much action. After a couple of hours the first car, Shane, came through and drove the CP without a drama then it was another 90 minutes before the next batch hit. Rod drove it OK but a V8 Hilux with some front guard and rear axle damage from an earlier CP turned up, the axle ...

Can you paint coil springs?
Like the topic title says, can you paint coil springs?
I have different coloured springs front and rear and was just wondering whether I could paint them to be the same and expect the paint to stay on when the springs compress and extend, or will it just crack and fall off?
Steve

GQ Patrol Extra Cab Photos Wanted
I'm converting my GQ wagon into an extra cab ute and looking for photos of wagons that have already been done so that I can get a sense of what looks good, how big to make it, etc. I've found a few on the net but they are usually on cars which have the chassis extended which doesn't give the right ...

I think that unless you are seriously considering this as a commercial venture then it is not worth pursuing as the work involved to establish and maintain a property for 4x4 access (if done through the proper channels) is quite daunting. I looked in to it for my club and once the authorities become ...

I'm kicking myself a bit about not finishing but when we thought we'd blown a CV we figured we would struggle to beat Rod, Jimmyb & the Rangie crew especially as we skipped half of CP1 'cos we thought the wagon would struggle to fit past the rock wall. We didn't have a spare long CV so didn't want ...

Isolating engine and electrics with one switch.
I need to install an externally operated kill switch which will isolate the batteries on my Patrol, and I would like it to cut the diesel engine as well. I would like to install only 1 switch, the batteries are connected under the bonnet by a dual battery management system which I would like to ...
