I dont know if this works in VIC, but in NSW they can be rego'd as long as you get them engineered, which may also mean a few other things to be done, but you dont need to convert them to RHD (its been done with a 416) From memory there is no '25 Year' rule, the vehicle needs to be Pre-ADR which is ...

Its an age old question (read Arguement) If you talk to the tyre and rim association, they will tell you that any modification to a rim makes it illegal for on-road use. So that rules out Stauns and weld on bead locks. However, as hard as I try I can't get a comment on manufactured beadloc rims (ie ...

4WD Stuff - We will be running it pretty stock. The only real changes will be hydro assist steering, maybe different shocks and springs, the rear will be bobbed and it will have an exo. Tyres choice has not been made yet, but we will have a few different sets ranging from 39's to 42's. We are not ...

We have already got the clutch (from a G-wagen), bell housing and all the other bits for the conversion on order. This ...

There were Warn dealers in the US who have dumped Warn over Superwinch, if that says anything. In 24V there is probably the biggest difference. Watn use 12V Solinoid packs where the Superwinch use true 24b Solinoid packs. We have a few comning over, one 165000lb is for the Mog Tuff Truck, I have a ...

Do you have to convert them to right hand drive? Why would DOT allow these to be registered? Kinda unnecessary on the roads. Don't get me wrong, a brilliant truck but why can these be registered? Why such low kms when they are obviously extremely old? ADR's state that any vehicle over 30 years old ...

Seems this thing will be fairly nimble on the tracks with the weight loss and reduced dimensions. Got my vote for TT   LOL I must say I have never heard of a Unimog being called nimble ;) your just modest, arent they designed with a good 9 inches of chassis flex :?: ;) LOL maybe Yes ...

the lobe sensing version does not have the magnetic ring that the standard kit has. To fit the magnetic ring you need to remove a little lip off the dizzy shaft. The lobe sensing one does not need this. Both seem to work. I ran the LS model with no problems and took about 30min to fit. I got my lobe ...

They are road legal and speed rated to 55mph or about 10mph faster than the Mog will go
