you can get GXL with solid axle (i know its simply a model designation thing) but just in case people were confused. yes, only with 1FZ-FE or 1HZ engines. neither is a great option in a 105. Talk to mr. radiator... those guys have reasonable prices and a good enough service... or if you have a local mechanic that you are friendly with then just see if they can give it a check over for you.

I got to a point of where i was about to take the gear box down and realised that with just me and my dad doing it and we didnt have the right jacks or anything it was just to dangerous... so i ended up taking it to my local mechanic and he fixed it up for me ...

lol...do you have kids?... the backs not easy to get into and if you are constantly loading people in and out get and LWB... they are quicker than the LWB being quite a fair bit lighter but yet again they are not rockets... youll have trouble dragging off most public transport busses from the lights ...

On the weekend i was offroad and i broke my aerial off(AM/FM radio)...its just a standard metal telescopic one on a hilux surf and i was wondering if it is easy to replace and how you do it? Would i be better to replace it with the same kind of aerial or is it possible to get a flexible one that is ...

I think that i can deal with the head light problem... but is there any other problems that i should be aware of? headlights can be fixed quite easily!!! The mods that i would want to do would be:
- 2" to 4" suspension lift.
- About 2" body lift
- Mud terrain tyres
- LPG conversion
- plus a few interior mods like CB radio and stuff like that

I have a budget of about $8000 and i want a vehicle which i will be able to mod easily... what year and model would anyone suggest and why? how do the rangies run if they have an LPG conversion? and what kind of mileage can you expect out of a converted engine?
