5 core may be wider, but not really better.

As said PWR, Desert Cooler ones are supposed to be good, but i've seen them fail to stop overheating too... Have seen a good 3 core fix it myself..

agree with 5 core not being any better tha a 2-3 core, airflow etc is no better.

I bought an "Aussie Desert Cooler" radiator from melbourne.
Look up Aussie Desert Cooler to find an address
Cost $685 delivered to Canberra, and is a four core, that almost bolts straight into a gq. My gq is the imported version, so needed to cut a two tiny notches at each end of the bottom ridge, and the radiator cap wasn't the highest point on the system anymore once it went in.
It has however made a vast difference to the cooling.

This company make radiators for hotrods, and drag cars, and are apparently highly regarded if you search the name on the web.

I had no complaints, it arrived quickly in good order, was able to be put in by me, and I'm a mechanical know-nothing.

is your problem that your car is overheating, or your stocky rad is fucked?

I went another good 3 core in my GQ and it was happy.

another option is later GU's have longer and I think wider radiator

I paid $550 for a Natrad 3core radiator (GQ TD42) a year ago. So far so good.

PWR radiator that is 50mm wider and still two core cost $1300 approx delivered from Brissy to country WA - bolt straight in, included putting a hole for low level sensor. For a GQ with a late model turbo intercooled motor - fn stoked with it.

MATE GET THE DESERT COOLER RADIATOR FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS.
* BRASS CAN BE EASILY REPAIRD, ALLOY NOT SO EASY
* DESERT COOLER 3 YEAR WARRENTY PWR 1 YEAR
* DESERT COOLER CORE 67MM THICK PWR 50MM THICK, MORE WATER THE BETTER
*$660 IS BETTER THAN $1000 PLUS
* I HAD A PWR ALLOY RADIATOR AND IT ONLY LASTED 2 YEARS AND THE TUBES STARTED LEAKING, PWR DIDNT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT AND IT WASNT THEIR PROBLEM.I HAVE JUST FITTER THE DESERT COOLER RADIATOR. STILL HAD TO MODIFY IT TO FIT BUT OVER ALL A BETTER UNIT. SHROUD ALSO GOES BACK ON SO MORE AIR FLOW ..JUST A TIP BE SPECIFIC IF YOU GET THE DESERT COOLER ONE LIKE THE FITTINGS ON THE RADIATOR FILLER, WHAT DIRECTIONS THEY SHOULD BE AT AND THE BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE MOUNT SHOULD BE VERTICAL AND ANGLED SLIGHTLY INWARDS. HOPE THIS HELPS YA OUT. IF YA WANT SOME PICS I CAN POST THEM JUST GIVE ME A SHOUT. CHEERS
