Just today I was checking out the el cheapo compressors (240v) at Bunnings to use the tank for the car. It comes with the cutout switch, most plumbing/fittings, enough brackets to make it mount, and a spare electric motor and pump for something else to play with. Some are only about $100 and even come with heaps of air accessories.

I'm also planning to fit one of these 9L water extinguishers into my car's compressor system. We use these extinguishers at work. I just need to find a 'spare' one.
Do I need to fit a water drain to the extinguisher and what about an overpressure relief valve?

I'll be using my already fitted ARB compressor to fill it.

Go in and make an offer. We used to sell the returns and damaged ones for around $20 depending on what was wrong with them. These days faultys are supposed to be picked up by the supplier but go into any SCA store and if they haven't destroyed them already then they'll sell one off for next to nothing.
