you may not be able to get the engine passed for any sort of rego. i had a 5k in my Sierra for a few years and had to reregister it and wasn't able to because no one could find the relevant emissions data for it and to get it tested to determine if it met the standards was going to cost over $2000

Put any age motor in and run it on LPG. No emissions regs to worry about. Thats my plan, put 3T toyota (1.8) in my Sierra on LPG.

it would most probably get rego in tassie

aslong as the conversion looks like its been done properly and doesnt scream out im modified to the shitter they dont really look down here.
