Post by sierrajim »

Does anyone know of a longer version of a sierra wheel stud? (approximately 10-12mm longer)

Perhaps eve the actual thread type so i can track them from the local bolt place?

12x1.25 (oops was thinking body studs)

same as patrol wheel studs in thread.

What style of studs to you have. There are a couple different ones. Type 1 and 2 . (1/2 moon style and the taperd style)

also in drum or disc?

Hmm if only i knew earlier about them liberty studs when i did my conversion. With the ford ones, i had to slightly drill out the holes, but it worked out fine anyway.

I used nissan skyline wheel studs on my rear with disk brake conversion. Basically removed the studs from the same car I took the calipers off. Cost me nothing either

I've heard zuk front wheel studs are longer than the rears, and can be used for rear disks.

I used Subaru Legacy studs for my rear disks. They need a 14mm hole. Not sure what size the zuk hole is, as I made new disk mounting plates.

The Legacy ones also have a parallel smooth shank for the disk to locate on, so its not locating on thread.

Vitara fronts, they are about 8mm longer from memory and no mods required to fit them.

I recon Jim is doing a rear disk conversion.. Using the center sections of the old drums as the axle flange to stud pattern adaptor.
Its what I did.

I used fronts on the rear for my disc conversion. Only just right, could do with a tad longer.

But they have never come off.
