60 series long range tank

Post by brighty »

Can someone supply the instructions for fitting all the plumbing lines to a long range tank in a 60 series????
It's a 2H diesel if that helps.

Would be greatly appreciated!! ;)

Cheers,
Brighty

Sorry... my bad.
It's an auxillary tank that runs along the passenger side chassis rail.

The one I've got has a T piece in the filler neck that fills both tanks at the same time.
Basically all I want to know is, where all the lines go back up to the filler, which lines does what??? Like which one is a breather line, which one is the fuel return line etc..

Surely there is someone on here that works in a shop that sells the longranger auxillary tanks... maybe they could bust open the instructions and post em up???? ;)

take the tank to a workshop. A mechanic should be able to tell whats what by looking at it brighty.
Cheers Dan

Problem is they are both mounted in the car... I just think that I've hooked one of them up wrong or the return line is blocked as it tends to leak every time I fill up.... but keeps leaking even when I know the fuel has dropped considerably and shouldn't be a problem... hence why I need to know where all the lines are meant to properly be.

Cheers.

I had one of those in my old 60. Took it out cause I never got
any use out of it and it was too heavy........Mine fed to an electric
switch controled from the cab. So you had both tanks feeding to
an elec tap/switch gizmo, then to the origional fuel line, pump, motor.
I'm pretty sure the return line feeds back to the tank itself and
the breather/s to the fill pipe. It'll be less complicated if it's an
old tank me thinks. Dunno much else....good luck
