Hi can anyone tell me if there are drum brakes of a other modle toyota/other 4wd that will fit on the 1979 hilux diff becuase my back drum brakes are stuffed and im looking to put somethink newer in there place :?: Cheers

Think i seen somwhere that you can run the LN106 size drums unsure if you use backing plate and rum on you axles or if you can just put the whole axle set up in pay to do a search and possably a look in the bible if it isn't there it should be.

Oh ok ill give that a look and see what i can find.

So what about converting the drum brakes on the 79 lux to disc brakes can it be done?
If so has any done it and can tell what i need to no to do it?

do a search for rear disks there has been some good links,here`s a pic of mine,hand brake dosn`t work to good though

That looks the goods is that a EA Falcon or simmiler claliper and what disc do you run. Any pic's of the mod would be great
