Cost to turbo a 1988 GQ 4.2L Diesel

Hey,

Note from my previous post. What cost would my mate be up for to turbo his 4.2 donk. Is it easy to rip it off another rig and install or go to a shop and pay BIG dosh ?

Depends on what he wants to do.

bolt on kits are from around $3000 upwards.. thats fit yourself.

For $6+k you can go ball bearing with manifolds etc complete with zaust and all.

Try and get an old system off a GU TD42 that someones upgraded.
