engineer cert

Post by Rampage »

looking at lifting my patrol 6 inchs and have being refered to this site http://www.dotars.gov.au/ to check all the details and legalities of the lift, it looks liek 6 inch(150mm) is the maximum and thats what i want to go, also things like head lights cant be higher that 1200mm, so ill check measurements tomorrow, but my question is, is there any known engineers in tassie that i could ring and speak to to confirm this stuff for my lift and ask a few other questions??? or should i just get intouch with transport tasmania and hopefully they'll point me in righht direction... i spoke to one engineer in tsasie today but he just told me to check out the site (posted above) and then to submint a application form. Has anyone done this and could help me through the process of modifying me 4wd legally!! cheers

Try talking to your local 4wd shop.

Not sure for Tassie, but the RTA site (NSW) has a list of all currently authorised Engineers and contact numbers.

Try this out...
http://www.transport.tas.gov.au/standar ... e_sig.html
Some other links that might be useful too...
