Electronic Speedo drive for hilux?

Post by mattsluxtruck »

Hi there
Im changing all the instrumentation in the mighty runner over to Speco and they have a programable speedo available but it needs an electric drive signal to work. The runner is an 85 with a cable driven speedo. Does anyone know if there is a electronic drive available that i can bolt in there nice an easily? Apparantly it doesnt matter what one it is it just needs to be electronic so i can program it. By the way its a G52 box with the standard transfer on it.
Thanx Matt

I have a LN106 with electronic drive, wreckers dont like to sell you just the drive as they are expensive. I had to replace mine a few years ago and it cost $250 just for the sender.

I had a speed sensor fitted to the cruiser for the EFI. VDO sender was under $100. Surely something like that would work for a Speco guage?
