Post by onall4 »

Hey Guys.

Anyone able to get there hands on some of these diffs.

Out of Nissan GU 4.5lt Manual's & some 3lt diesels.

I am after as many as i can get. Parts needed are housings ( bent is OK ),
Centre's, ( ratio does not matter ). disc brake rotors, Calipers.
Or complete is ok.

Also Front GU diffs complete disc to disc....

I would lay money that he needs the rears centres and brakes for his banana diffs. I here hes going to make a few of them.

Fawk knows why he would want the fronts though. I guess they are the biggest front diff you can get in OZ at the moment.

Hey BJ doesent that wrecking mate of yours have a line on GU diffs from over in WA. I sure somebody was telling me a guy has them in WA when I was sort of chasing a GU diff.

Why do you want GU specifically? for the full floaters?? GQ or MQ H260's (10.5") would be much cheaperer. Also, If you can find out what a W40 model is (probably not ever exported to aus) You can get H260's with 6.5:1 or 5.86:1 ratios or H290 (11.5") with 6.61:1 ratios. These trucks also have a GQ style g'box with a 5.86:1 1st gear

Another trivial little thing: Australian and Hong Kong GQ's are the only exports that didn't come with a full floating H260 rear as standard.
