swb vs lwb
Thinking of buying a swb gq for the wife. Is it faster on the road than the lwb gq? What other advantages (beside parking) does it have over the lwb ?

lol...do you have kids?... the backs not easy to get into and if you are constantly loading people in and out get and LWB... they are quicker than the LWB being quite a fair bit lighter but yet again they are not rockets... youll have trouble dragging off most public transport busses from the lights (w. the diesel).
And yeah they look way sweeter modded and the turning circle on a LWB is like a boat, But if you dont reallly need the extra seats get the SWB.

driving in city traffic is another, they are more like a road car, nimble, duck in and out quickly, easyer to turn and generally easyer to drive than a LWB, especially for a woman.

can you justify the rolling over easier call luddacris cause i think it has a lot to do with how people tend to drive than the wheelbase. ive had my shorty on some stupid side angles and stupidly crossed up and im yet to roll it "touch wood" granted you have to drive things different than you would in a lwb but roll over easier i dont agree with. jsut my opinion though!

all im saying is nelso that i have driven everythign that my mates in lwb's have driven. maybe not along the same line they choose but ive never had a problem following them. i would love to extend my wheelbase, but not because im worried about rollover or lifting the front wheels, i would do it to soften up the bone jaring ride, ive always loved the ride of the lwb's but loved the look and drive of a shorty more. i suppose its personal preference. until i cant drive the tracks i want to or roll the car because of the so called increase risk or roll over due to my wheelbase then ill stick with what i have. if i was buying a comp car then i would be talking differently. but thats not what this thread was talking about.

I've got a mate with a shorty and he wont attempt half the things I do in my long wheel base. I wouldn't say they roll over easier though, they tend to want to flip over backwards a lot easier.
