Coil Drop outs

Has anyone made their own coil drop outs?
i was thinking of using heavy walled pipe reducing flange.
can anyone see a problem with this or has anyone done it.
has anyone had any problems with coil drop outs?

mate superior engineering make these as a pair can't remember price, weld in units look all right :armsup:

yeah i ahve seen these and they look just like pipe reducers. from superior they are 90 dollars plus postage. i can get them from a fab shop for 12.80 each.

Plenty of people have used 4 to 3" pipe reducers and welded them in. The other option is to retain your coils top and bottom.
