so i'll be there My first navrun in a GQ... this'll be interesting.
And as for knowing Gemmy... I'll put my efforts into knowing my navigation rather than knowing the area

This event has filled past its quota of 20 teams (40 vehicles).

Hobzee and I have managed to make this event cater for a number of more teams due to an overwhelming response and pressure from many regulars and new comers.

At the moment it stands at 27 teams. Our strict maxium will be 30 teams, no more.

3 spots left guys and that's it. Apart from our other events for the year, there won't be another Navrun until September.

What about NSW Doodle boy... you posted you want victorians for it now your telling them there's no more till September ... C'mon guys get to NSW for your injection of navigational fun, thrills and excitment... OH and show those Welshmen how it's done!!!

Camp at gilwell park sounds good. Worth the 7 bucks a night for sure. I'd urge everyone to stay in the park as the night time atmosphere is one thing that makes these events so family friendly and enjoyable..

I agree on the atmosphere at night all together! The few i have been to have been great! Just hope everyone can afford that little bit extra. Althou paying to camp at a site that wont accept small fires seems shite!

Still gotta talk it over with my team mates to decide what we will do!

A large fire is allowed at gilwell if we have it in the large Campfire circle

I've had many a bonfires there...

Also i know where the wood supply is

OK Navsters Rudes and I have it all set up and raring to go...

Terrain is dry. Some wet spots but none to be afraid of. If we have rain you will have fun on Sisters. It has just been graded. I would suggest avoiding it if wet and doing lower sisters to get to top. All cars on any tyre will get up main Sisters in the dry.

There is another stage that will take the mad guys up Sunset. The not so mad guys can finish that stage at the bottom and continue with their pics. No real disadvantage as you get more pics. The nutty ones can get their jollies on Sunset. I did it with open diffs and full tyre pressue in a 60 so everyone should do it ok.

Bullock Link may have delays and I would suggest making it there early to avoid congestion.

Jason is the Major sponsor (JT F'glass) and I believe there is a really great prize coming out.

Although I ran on Silverstone Extremes there was no need for the agressive tyres at this time of year. Mud Terrains and All Terrains will be fine. Just remember the diff clearance issues on Sunset if you are going to do the gun route.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...............
That was awsome. There was some ripper tracks there. It was as hard as you would want it to be when you're driving a GQ on bald 35'' Claws with no winch..
We ran with only a single car so only half points for photos as i was trying to learn to drive the 324 before the poojabber later this month.
Had a ball though.
Big thanks to Rudes, Hobzee and Alan for putting the time in to organising etc. Job well done.
I must say i did miss Terry Roberts smiling face but things don't stay the same forever do they.
Well done to all competitors aswell, they atmosphere on the tracks was very friendly which helped make it a pleasure to be there..
Catch you all next time... With a bit of luck Andrew and myself are going to talk Doodle boy and Hobzee into letting us organise one so they can compete .. What say you doodle boy????? Are you up for the challenge??

Well thanks to Rudi and Hobzee for setting the event up. I had a great time with plenty of good tracks on the list. Pity about the very recent closures!

Highlight was going up sisters late saturday arvo after the rain and sliding down phasmid sideways more than straight on sunday.

mmmmmmmmm we buggered up.. But still i was happy with 13th considering we were running single car so half points for C photo's and trying to learn to drive the new GPS and.... and..... and... if only...... also.... blah blah..

That was one of the best ever for the nav stuff. Time management was critical. I hope the Best of the best is at least that hard.

I also hope i don't have to eat KFC at the best of the best.. When rudi emailed the chicken question i was thinking.. mmmmmmmmmm Terry's chicken schnitzel.. oh how far from reality i was..

Good job though guys.

We didnt even know how the event worked so how would we cheat. If we knew we were going so well we would not of stoped for a BBQ lunch. I worked out how many points we gathered, but had no idea If that was good or not. We just tried hard and dan & cam drove hard,and it all worked great. Found a lot of new tracks to play. So when we are not going out in our cannoe we can play on the fue tracks that are not black from fire.
PS Dan the nissan mans car will have a clutch soon so look out. He will be quicker because he will find them gears the 1st try
