Huge increase in diesel suckage :(

Post by Slug »

Missus came back from Darwin over the weekend, had topped up before leaving and travelled the 240 ks back to Jabiru... She drives at a steady 110 on the cruise control and doesn't push it. Topped up again yesterday and the bloody thing took 40 litres!! Works out to roughly 17lt/100 which is an absolute shocker... What would change so dramatically that we would be using an extra 5 or so over it normally does?

It's due for a service but holy crap batman... this is a shock to the system 0_o

Some times a bad batch of diesel does this. We filled up our 4.2td GU at Birdville, and got 25lt/100km, car also would not go over 90kmph. Next tank full (filled up at Innaminka) perfect, 12lt/100km and full power again.

See how you go now, it may be cured when you filled up.
