MQ front diff

hey guys,
MQ front diff has shit itself and blowin oil all over the left wheel thats why my brakes are shit.
cant afford to fix diff, its my daily driver and need it back on the road asap.
QUESTION can i rip the diff apart and not replace it. Use it as a 2 wheel drive only.

an mq diff is only worth 50 bucs :P

Yes you can but you will need to remove the axles as well. You will lose some grease up the axle tubes. Is the diff blown or just an axle seal. These are at the diff centre end of the tubes and the diff centre needs to be removed to replace them. two person job using the correct size socket and a long broom handle through the opposite axle tube. Make sure they get put in the right way around as well

already done that and found one for $200 in another state.
dont have the time, need it on the road asap.
