Another what's it worth - 1988 mav

Post by chimpboy »

What do you reckon my Mav is worth?

It's a 1988 LWB, LSD rear, TB42 manual, dual fuel, 275,000km, good quality rear drawers (or original third row of seats, I have both options), roof rack, ARB steel winch bar, 33" Goodyear MTRs with plenty of meat (plus 100% tread spare wheel), 3" suspension lift, snorkel, dual batteries, upgraded headlight wiring and a LOT of headlight power, no faults of any kind really, not leaking a single drop of oil, never been thrashed and zero off-road work. Does have a couple of small dents but nothing much, more car park type stuff.

Just wondering what I could get for it as it is not getting all that much use, and I never get to take it off-road. I haven't been 4WDing since I sold my SWB mav.

So I might be better off selling it to someone who will get better use out of it.
This is not legal advice.

Hard comparison but i just picked up something similar in a 89 model TD 4.2L with 300kms and a small turbo leak for $4000-

Few scratches but over all a good honest truck

If it doesn't owe you anything and you don't despreately need the cash and for the money you'd get I reckon keep it and try and make the effort to get out with it. With so many places close to Melbourne to go for a play.
