Having ongoing issues with the steering idler arm on my Feroza.
Replaced the rubber bushes about a year ago with urethane ones
but these now seem to have loosened up.
The ball joint has also developed slop and its time for a new one.
Tempted to replace the bushes with bearings as it seems to be sloppy by design.
The steering arm cant have more than 70000 kilometers of life (with offroad and onroad). I have change the left side of the arm and now i am going for the right side .
Coincidence. I had to replace my left idler arm for rego two days ago. Went to a 4x4 wreckers and picked up the whole arm for $137.50. did the work with a mate for free.
or if it's like mine the actual join on the end is worn, replaceing the bushes doesnt help. (used the urethane ones).
though i think i've found a source from NZ...
