supercharger for MQ L28 petty
supercharger for MQ L28 petty
In the nissan owners manual there is a link to supercharging tips but there is nothing about superchargers on there. Does anyone know what supercharger can go on to an L28 petrol motor, what other mods need to be done, and how much it would cost? An help will be great. Cheers.
Ask around some japanese import wreckers about the small toyota superchargers they can get. I think they came standard on 2.0 and 2.5 litre motors, if geared correctly they will work fine on the 2.8 and the beauty of them is they have an electronic clutch much the same as your air-con compressor so you can turn it on or off.
SWB MQ Patrol, Hell 160 spots, Alloy bull bar, ARB roff rack, Uniden uh089 uhf, 31 x 10.5 desert duellers, Xtreme outback 850kg heavy duty clutch.
Ive been looking into this option, ive found out through datto sources that the 2.8 wouldnt be the best option as the inlet manifold is on the same side as the exhaust. So the inlet manifold would heat up. I did find a toyota charger that could work for $300 on ebay, running it off the aircon pump or crank it could create good power. The recomendation ive heard is to use the RB30 out of an early model skyline or VL commadore. the inlet is on opposite sides and the fuel injection system is much newer. all being much easier.
