Batteries stuffed or bigger problem?

Post by sly »

Well i have had my car off the road for a while now (couple of weeks) and when i went to go and start it yesterday it wasn't turning over at all and were showing zero charge (not even the switch was working so they were BOTH flat). Now when i last drove it, there was no problem and both batteries were showing full charge.

the are both wet style batteries and the dual batt system is a switch type (not sure on brand). I was thinking that the batteries may be stuffed but a mate of mine has said that there may be an earth leak. what are the easiest ways of checking this and rectifying it.

any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks
