86 same as 4runner. Be fairly hard to find a surf solid axle better off looking for a 4runner

surfs and runners are the same...well mostly

gen I 2.4 surf TD 4runner N/A
gen II surf 2.4 TD 4runner 2.8 N/A
except after 95 i think when surfs went 3.0TD
this is diesels cause really who wants a petrol 4BY :finger:

Much easier for you to get a 3.TD with a SAS already done, there are a fair few around and shouldt cost really an extra then a IFS version

Surfs also have a few moew luxury items, but more electric sensors that may cause problems later down the track (may....)

Cool thanks for clearing that up. Have not had the chance to drive a diesel yet only a 2.2 (From What i recall) petrol of the 1st gen variety ( cause i much prefer the shape) and it was pretty gut less i thought even coming from a 1.6 vit, oh well more hunting i guess.
