I am currently in the midst of partially rebuilding the 3.5L in my County and I need some advice .
The motor has done 215 thou km and has a least one burnt valve or sticking lifter.
I will be putting a new cam and timing chain in whilst the heads are off and I would like to know what brand of camshaft and timing chain the brainstrust recommends??
It is worthwhile getting one with more lump on it to compensate for the LPG decrease in power ??
Can anyone recommend a head specialist that I can get the heads reco'ed in South Eastern Melbourne?? Price ??
Any other info or advice is always appreciated from anyone who has done this before.
The county has good KONI shocks that are fine but the springs are quite sagged so what brand do I get ??
Thanks
wes

I've just removed the heads and taken the cam and lifters out.
The heads look?? ok but the 1st lobe on the camshaft has totally dissappeared and the lifter is now dished on the face. Rest of the cam is normal wear.
Is this a common fault ??
Any advice
