Post by dinos4x4 »

On my 100 series (ifz-fe motor) there is a sensor on the top half of my air cleaner housing anyways it come out of its rubber grommet and got melted by my extractors.

The motor seams to run all right i am just wondering what the sensor does.

If it's the one on the rear of the air intake tube, it's the intake air temperature sensor.

Got a picture of which one you mean?

Yep sounds like air intake temp. Wont have much effect at all on performance. May alter fuel economy but not enough for you to even notice.
Mainly there to help the vehicle meet emissions standards.
Cheers Dan.
