New 72l/min ARB compressor/Air locker promo

Post by dirt »

I've just ordered F & R lockers for my 40. ARB has a special on in March where if you buy one air locker you get the air actuator free and if you buy two lockers you get the compressor that does your tyres free (the current one is something like 29lt/min). Someone at ARB has told me that their new compressor will hit the shelves in a few weeks and pumps 72 lt/min at 30psi. I've asked a couple of staff at ARB and I've been told different stories, does anyone have an inside line and know when it's coming. ARB are being pretty cagy about whether the new compressor will be included in the locker deal. The new compressor will apparently be the same price as the current one but will be faster and better quality. It will be a pisser if I get the lockers put in and find the new compressor arrives a week later and is offered as part of the locker deal. If anyone has an inside line on ARB i'd be keen to know when it's likely to arrive and whether it will be in the locker deal.

Cheers, Phil

Great argument but it doesn't answer either of my questions, i.e. when the new ARB compressor will hit the shelves and whether it will be included in the locker deal? :finger:

i got a quote on thursday, $1890 fitted, just for the front, $1120 just for the air locker,
the bloke said i could save heaps if i drop the diff center in, they put the locker in and i do the rest, put the center back in, plumb it up, put the compressor in, would have done it fot $1370, and he said its easy,

Did they mention their new compressor coming out or did they just offer you the current one? Cheers, Phil

Not surprised, ARB staff have told me it's 72l/min rated at 30 psi which is over double the speed of the current one. I've also been told (not by ARB) that it's better quality and uses the same motor as the new bushrangers. It's coming out very soon but I guess they don't want everyone to stop buying the current gear in the mean time. I beleive it's going to replace the current model so I suspect it will be offered in the locker deal but then again they might use the locker deal to clear their current stock of the old model. Needless to say I'd prefer the new one :D

The current ARB one is outclassed by everything anyway, so they really needed to step into the 90's.

No it won't come with the new one.... they're running out stock of the old ones so i have been told.

I've just bought the deal.... $2430 for 2 lockers to be installed myself.

They will probably stick an ARB sticker on a Bushranger compressor.

Same as the rooftop tents and Engel/ARB fridges.
