I have just increased the capacity of my pan on my Turbo 700 by cutting the base out of one and the top out of another and butting them together. It has been welded on the outside but on the inside where it overlaps (have ground it back) i want to put something over the join thats not going to fall off and get sucked into the filter.
Any ideas on what i should use?

What type of welder did you use to join the metal, migs are pourice and the welds contain small holes, these holes can link to each other and hence a leak. To test it fill it above the weld line with petrol and see if it leaks. If you tigged it should be fine,if you oxy-welded it apart from being warped to the shithouse, should be fine. You shouldn't have to weld the inside, just make sure you clean it. You can also use a dolly and pein the two pieces of metal together with a hammer to close the gaps,Cheers Paul.

Doesn't leak, and was migged up. i just want to seal the join up incase there is any small bits of metal up under the lip. My auto was just destroyed because the converter people didn't clean the converter out properly, don't want this happening again.
