electric motor?

electric motor?
it appear where i have mounted my second alternator isn't going to work cause the diff will hit it i found these electric motors

to run the alternator under my tray which one would be best suited
i was thinking the sc300 but it pulls 15amps and because the alternator isn't a big one and its for my 24v highmount i thought it may pull too much
the sc200 i like cause the way it mounts (flat) and has 2750rpm
what do you guys think

no it wont work. Your trying to make energy from nothing,
You cannot make energy, you can only convert its state.
If it takes 100 killojules per second to drive thescooter motor, then an altenator is not going to be able to produce more than 100 kilojules of energy, even if both the motor and altenator were 100% efficient.
They arent 100% efficient, closer to 70%, so if you did as you are thinking, youd be wasting energy.

Any chance of fabbing up brackets (or both off the same bracket) to mount it above your other alternator? Don't know if it'll fit, just throwing out ideas.

Your alternater is plenty big enough to charge a couple of batteries,before you go and do all that crap why not chuck a couple of batteries on your tray in series,this gives you 24 v then chuck some cables around the passenger side to the winch go find a big hill,attach it to a tree and try it,realistically how long do you think you will actually be winchen for,not long. Your alternater is designed to pump out a lot of current as the car it came out of is 100% ELECTRICAL,my vt shit the lead on the back of the alternator and the car went 4 kilometers,then stopped . That alternator should charge a couple of good quality batteries reasonably quick,Cheers Paul.
