Forgot what is called ( starts with B ) but its low carbon content steel and is beautiful to weld. I used 2mm. Trace them out and cut them out. Stitch MIG it all the way round so the heat doesnt build up and blow a hole. Then fill the inside up with body deadner and cold zinc. Hey presto

I just got a piece of 2mm steel placed it over the hole. scribed around the inside. Cut the steel to the scribe line. Then TIG welded into place. I also back steeped the welds to reduce disortion. Bit of black paint job done.
Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.
