Bigger tyres on a rangie
Moderator: Micka
i don't know what you've done yet or plan to do,
i just wanted to let you know that in QLD you
can't increase the travel in the compression
or rebound by more than 1/3 of the
original travel in that direction.
you probally are alright just letting you know
(incase you didn't )

SO I NEED NEW RIMS TO ARGHHHHHHHH
Well if i can get the rims shit cheap i am in.
What about 285/85 are they available or is that not a size option
My 2 cents if you are going to put anything bigger then the 265 that you mentioned ealier you need to have the rims off set or reversed so a set of dico rims of sunnies are inoder
off set them about 80mm to 100mm so you can keep yr std turning circle
TD5 96 Discovery UTE.
hmm interesting
I might just stick with the 32s for abit might even get to sets of tyres if I am stupid enough to increase my debt margin........
I might have to get to sets of springs aswell (so when it come to registering it it can be nice and low)
i am lost in ideas and crap.......................

Anthony, if I were you here is what I would do for now...
You have the tyres, a little small yes, but usable
You have Andrews kit
Have you actually baught your springs yet...?? If not why don't you
Buy some 2" springs
Put Andrews kit in
Use your 265/75 R16's.......they wont look stupid and this is a good setup to learn what your car is capable of and what needs changing and why it needs changing...
Diving in the deep end with little knowledge and experience is dangerous....and expensive(wrong size tyres) as you have found out.

the tyres wernt worng at first cause i though i only wanted about 2" of lift but i got that and it wasnt much difference to me.
I am aiming more for 4"
I will be happy with that
So maybe with the 4" total the 32s wont look to stupid, and hopefully they last enough till after i fit lockers and can afford the 35s and gear reduction etc (hilux centre conversion maybe)
I DONT KNOW.......... i will get there in the end...... i hope
