Rust in Gutter of my MQ what to do?

Post by Vanne »

Hi, ive got some serious rust issues in the gutter near the rear, above the rear windows in my MQ. Whats the best way to go about this?

is it possible to get a GU body and transfer everything across?

or would cutting out/rewelding be a better option?

cheers and thanks for any hints/help

Vanne

Ditch the body and stick a Rhinobuggies Hummer body on. or just just weld some new bits in, would be cheaper.

cut the whole roof off and weld a new roof on or weld a roll cage in and make it a soft top but talk to engineer first so to make sure your not wasteing your time how good is the rest of the car if not good cut back the rust stuff paper to fill hole and bog the shit out of it ,that would be about $200 worth of bog and sell it to a car yard (TRADE IN)

you can cut therust out and weld in new sections if its big. but its alot of work so itd wanna be a good mq. otherwise fill it with space invader and bog over it. dont forget tho if u dodgy it it isnt a perminant fix and wouldnt be the safest in a rollover etc

if its only small grind it back rust convert it and fill with metal filler, bog or weld
