Took th ebuggy to the Albury 4wd show on sat and sun had to make a a new part for the front shaft repair the radiator and we broke more shit :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words: :oops: its time for 10mm studs on those short side hubs 2nd lot of 8mm we have broke in 4 days ,Whats peoples ideas on tacking the hubs for a bit more strenght,BTW we are talking about N*A*M*S buggy here.Cheers

You need to get rid of the Studs and Cones they are useless. Get some 3/8 UNC Cap Head Screws and run them on their own with no cones. My buggy ran the entire season last year with this set up without a single failure. It also ran the same set up most of the season before with no problems. Dont use UNF ones as the hubs gaul the threads very easy with a fine thread.

How short was your short side axle Tony NAMS is only about 400mm long which does allow for much flex or torque loads.
