I have extended my rear sway bar and it flexes just as good with it still on. My springs still get a little lose and i get full extention of the shock!! However i understand that it would require more force to articulate with them still attached!

I find it does drive better on road with them both on. When i go 4wdriving i just undo 1 side, front and back (1 minute total) and the put them back on later!

Soooo, many experts here! Wow. You should all be in the industry with so much "knowledge".
Just because you heard it somewhere, it doesnt make it so. Keep an open mind fells, sheesh!

OK, flame suit on. :D

Looks like we have a trouble maker here. Quick RUFF, warm the bus up. :grab:

I thought the idea of a public forum was to share your information so you can get peoples' unbiased opinions, rather than relying on those who are trying to sell you something, for information. :D :finger: Most of us have made mistakes, and learnt expensive lessons in the process, often listening to experts in the industry. We are not claiming to be experts, just share our experience.

You should also be careful what you wish for. I have no first hand knowledge of BBM yet I have formed an opinion that you do very good quality work and can be trusted to modify 4wds in a safe and professional manner based on what I have heard and pictures that have been shared showing your work. I guess I should now ignore that and not let anyone know about BBM as I'm not in the industry. ;)
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.

Letting the springs 'Bottom out' is not good for longevity what im doing on the comp GQ is putting 4 inch springs in with shocks for a 6inch lift and then using limiting straps and extended bump-stops so as not to do the above.
And for the record i am using Dobinsons shocks with my 4 inch Dobinsons lift and i am yet to have a drama with buggered shocks.

This is only my personal opinion, i cant complain.....................and hopefully thats the way it stays :D

Have fun with the mods and even more fun with ya new more capable modded truck.

unless you have coil overs, springs are going to look like this when compressed. the amount of rotation you get when flexing there is nothing you can do.

the way to get around bottoming out shocks is to move the mounts, you want the wheel to come up as much as it can, so i think longer bump stops are bad.

is this because they were bagging out big bore tough dog shocks?

they have shit seals!!
and the dust covers would have to be the stupidest setup i have ever seen. They are a loose fit and scratch the crap out of the shock!!!

just like the people that are now in the " industry" maybe they will one day be in the " industry" aswell.

they may even get online and make sarcastic remarks to potential customers. :D
