ARGH. I cant find an inner axle seal. no-one has a listing.
In dire need of a couple inner axle seals for the front diff of my old MK .
The ones that stop the diff oil from getting into the cv's.
No-one seems to have a listing for it. Even went to Ripco and they still insist its a pinion seal for a GQ, as thats the only listing they have.
Does anyone know where i can chase one up without bending over so they can swipe the credit card.
I think ill need to cal some diff specialists on monday.
Thanks

Good timing
I have priced up a Swiel Housing Kit for my MK only today. Kit contains everything including Inner axle seals, both sides, less wheel bearings. Part number is SH12 from Motospec. part of Repco company. Ordered mine fro Smithfield Syd. 9725 5855. They have them in stock and at a good price.

seal
Tell them its a MQ and they will find it straight away. Even nissan doesn't recognise MK in there books or fish plates.
Remember some days your the pigeon and other days your the statue
Aren't the axle seals on the MQ/MK up at the diff end not at the axle end?
from memory they look like diff pinion seals, and need to be fitted when the diff is out. this may be why they are giving you pinion seals? just a thought correct me if i am wrong, cheers Phil

Living the dream on the hill that floods
The front diff for an mk is a c200 diff those kelpro seals are the ones that repco gave me wrong 2 times then i went to nissan i brought the inner axel seal with me and tryed to match them with another seal but it was no good i think they are a one of a kind seal if you ring arb and ask them were they get there seals from cause they useally change a few when installing air lockers and yes you have to pull your axles out and remove diff center to put them in and then smash sh8t out of them to get them in
When you have the axles out check that there is no wear on the axle where the seal runs. If there is a slight groove there (as there is in mine) your new seals won't seal. I have a couple of speedi-sleeves waiting to be put on axle when I next do the bearings. Should fix the problem but they are not cheap.
