engine \ drive train optiona

Post by Tiny »

hi all,

was thinking of running a v6 commo engine, t400 and lt230 in the zook, but for space etc I am thinking of other options.

somethig like a 1ggte would be nice, but I am not sure of gearbox options

can you run a factory aouto on to a hilux transfer? this would allow dual transfers if the lenght worked out ok

what about divorced transfer options, anyone know of a decent transfer with gearing options, I want to steer clear of the zook transfer

any other option anyone can think of

cheers

1GGTE, transmission, dual transfer cases would make for one LONG Zook.

Would a 1GGTE fit in the Zook engine bay?
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
I think so, I need to measure it up, yeah the dual transfer is a prob beause of the lenght, I intent to run about 104" but even still I think the tail shaft would be to short

plan is GQ diffs coz I have a pair of locked ones sitting here, would the zook transfer be strong enough with the ring? running 37s

From memory the 1GGTE is ~660mm long from the crank pulley to where the bellhousing bolts to.

Yeah good mate. We bought a house that we thought would need nothing doing to it. Over a short period of time i was proved wrong  , and there is always an endless amount of chit to do, and no money to spend on the truck :bad-words:
