WE Rock - USA

Post by Strange Rover »

Pete Antunac is going well after the first days courses.

Spoke to Pete - everythings working well but the courses are very tight and narrow and is having trouble getting in between the cones. His rig is a bit wider than the rest of the buggies over there and is working on getting new rims to make it a bit narrower but he hasnt got these yet.

If he has a good run tomorrow he should make the shootout and basically anything can happen from there.

Currently sitting in 7th.

Coverage (not very good yet - havnt got pics up yet)

Ther are a couple of threads on Pirate as well.

They seem to have added alot more to the outer edges, i see some new mounds and some large tyres.

It will be good if Pete can sneak into the top 6. He's only 40 behind the lead at the moment.

I spent about 5 1/2 hours of yesterday's competition with technical problems. I didn't see much of what happened, but there will be stuff going up alot more today. The coverage will be kicking arse now!

Well done Pete on your 6th place finish Hope the buggy held up.

All I can say is that what you are doing travelling to the States is only going to make you harder to beat on home soil and I think all the Aussie boys are going to have to lift their game as the knowledge you will gain over there will make you hard to beat.

But on the other hand as you lift the bar all the other drivers will follow and that will only be good for the Aussie buggy scene and help us give the yanks a good shake up when they come over here for the WE ROCK world final.

We added 60 yards of concrete to make the changes. Yes it was a tight and very techincal set of courses. We will add to this site before the next event to be held there.

Peter is quite the character. Then again anyone who is coming 10,000 miles to compete is worth the attention.
