If I get some time tomorrow (running around), gunna take the angle grinder to the rear springs, take the last clamps off and maybe shorten the overload...

Yes it has been run and won congratulations to all thoes who competed and had a great time even if the run was longer for some that others.

I here that the strawbery farm isn't open at that time of night not that it mattered to thoes heading for the thriving metroplious of Beaudesert either.

But to what you all want to know. :D :P

Was a good run, we all got lost a few times and thanks to a wrong turn I think I'm the 1st Feroza to drive stage 1 of the waterfall track   Showed em my rock hopping skills hehe.

Slight bang to a body mount (no damage) and a noticed leaking radiator hose which I have to fix :|

Scott in the 83lux bus (3 passengers this trip!) had fun...even before the event was run....I still can't understand how the cops let him off  He can tell the rest if he wants ;)

All i can say check point 4 was fun! And someone needs to sit down with Scott! (83lux) and teach him how to drive! Because he's a very lucky boy not to had rolled over at those speed's  .
And with a air locker in that there should be no need for that!

Good fun for us to watch but i feel sorry for your passengers

Okay, real slow day at work, so here is a full trip report from my perspective :)

Saturday afternoon, call up 83lux and ask him wtf are we leaving. 5:30pm he tells me. He turns up and Heather and I jump in and follow him to Bubs place where he's going to put 35" MTRs on 83lux. Didn't happen for some reason. Bubs and girlfriend join 83lux as passengers.

Drive to Browns Plains and pick up Wicked (83lux's brother) from work. Full load in the Lux Bus now.

Driving to Beenleigh, red light coming up, I'm following 83lux who stops, so do I. Then all of a sudden, for no reason whatsoever, 83lux drives through the Red Light. I'm on the CB giving him shit. Lights go green and I start to follow. Get cut off by a commodore, about to flash him when a blue light appears in his front window. Alert 83lux who pulls over. I drive another K or so and pull over and wait. After a very short time 83lux comes driving along...HE GOT OFF WITH A WARNING!!! Now dubbing him 83TeflonLux cause nothing seems to stick

Arrive at Beenleigh, Antt rocks up behind us in the Vitara, check out the work on his bar. Chat with various people etc...

The drive gets going (it's very cold for QLD) we are all basically following 83lux. He takes the wrong enterance to the 1st offroad section, so we end up driving it 1.5 times

Back on road to next checkpoint. Pretty easy hill climb, main stipulation is no wheelspin allowed. Breeze through this.

Continuing on, come to a checkpoint where we have to identify various bits of information about 4 fire extinquishers...lots of torches, trying to figure out wtf was hiding under the tapped sections...looking at everone elses notes...we continue :)

Head into Ormeau, do the fun little climb up, Antt having a few fuel issues but going good, 83lux driving along with foot to floor as perusual. Come to next checkpoint, 2 mud holes. Informed by checkpoint staff 1st hole is easy, but the climb out has just been chewed out by the rig in front of 83lux. 83lux gives it a go and needs 2 goes to get over the climb. I figure what the hell, and go for it...straight over!! hehe. Antt takes the bypass.

Continue on down into Ormeau. Option ahead, hard to head down the final waterfall stage or easy, keep on the main track. 83lux heads down and Antt and myself take the easy line. Get to the bottom...now hopelessly lost as to where we are ment to go following the map. Decide it looks like we should head around to the jump ups. Get there and get on CB to Scott. He's coming up the river and tells us to come down and follow.

Back behind 83lux now and heading up into stage1 of the waterfall track. Antt backed out at this stage but with encouragement from Bubs I decided to drive it. Used the "Moab Bounce" principle and made it through without any major issues, great spotting from Bubs. Get back up to main track and are informed we just went the wrong way  head back down and around to jump ups and turn RIGHT this time instead of left.

Come to final checkpoint, long mud run. 83lux and full passengers gives it a BOOTFULL and nearly rolls it as he hops out of the ruts to the left and starts to drive up the side of the track!!! Gets out of it and completes the section. I took the easier 30 point option up through the creek. Deeper than expected, water lapping the drivers side mirror! Get out, give it a few revs for someone taking photos and get to the finish.

Chat for a few minutes and head home..

Another great run, tried a few more challenging things this time round, happy with how I did.

Couldn't help myself red ones go faster

with a bit of negotiation it cost the same as a new body
must do some work on it thou can't fit the Mongrels

Much wheel spin necessary just to reach the start of CP4 still drove it at the cost of a tyre.

Someone said I was boged over the UHF not possible I still had 2" of movement "NEVER EVER EVER GIVE UP" got out didn't I
