injectors

Post by Bruzar »

ust a few questions about injectors,

previouse owner of my car said he never had injectors done, bought car at 68,000km.

ive just had my injector pump done, and was wondering if now at 240,000 i should have injectors done to?

is it a case of only having them done when car is playing in certain areas which would suggest ingectors need to be done?

or you just do on a service schedule?

Do they help with diesel comsuption?

car is running fine at the moment, dont know weather i should spend money on having injectors done or just keep saving for turbo.....

Advice pls.......

The normal recommended interval is every 100,000 klms!
That's in as said "normal"conditions.
Do you have the full vehicle history?
If you are sucking fuel out of drums in the bush while travelling then this needs to be reduced.
I have just had mine done! It had done 125,000 since last time.
noticably less black stuff out the exhaust.
Minor seat of the pants feel improvement!

At least get them tested first. This involves removing them, but you will know for sure one way or the other. Who ever does it should at least show you what they are like in front of you, opening pressures and spray patterns are critical .
