GU Panhard Mounts

Is it possible to fit the older style GQ/GUI adjustable panhards to the later ball joint style panhards on later model GU's?

The GQ/GU I adjustables are about 2/3 the cost of the later style with the ball joint mount at the chassis ends.

I've been told it can be done but the bloke who told me said he hadn't actually seen how it was done, all he knew is that it had been done before.

from memory the series 3 n 4 panhard bush is 10mm wider across the bolt sleeve you could try fitting washers either side to take up the gap mite be getter to cout some 5mm plate drill 14mm hole in it n put it either side of the sleeve so you dont get to much movement front to rear

This GU is a 2000 Series 2 model.

just wondering if you can tell from the photo?

to me it looks like a normal olds school one. but then i was told that series II onwards had the new ball joint mount.

gq/gu early have a rubber bush outside steel on rod measures 50mm n gu late measures 60mm also looks like it has a rubber boot like a tie rod end either side of the bush

hmmm, it does look a bit bigger than 50mm, guess they're the ball joint type. cheers for your help
