Move Battery To Tray

Post by Allo97 »

Hi, I apologise if this has been talked about before, i had a look and couldnt find anything.

Just wondering how others did it, ie setup dummy terminals at front and run wires back to battery.

alternatively run wires straight to battery.

question how large do the main -ve and starter motor wires need to be, i have an 83 hilux with a 3.8 commodore motor in it.

thanks guys.

Im currently doing the same .....with mine I'm just crimping a joining lug onto the stock pos lead (starter which is also spliced into another to the puter).......

the neg Im just running to the chassis aswell as 1 to the body at the front....

the pos lead from the front runs into the cab through a master switch and to the battery.....

the neg on the batt just to the chassis again/......most dont run the pos into the cab just switch the neg in the master switch .....but it just seeems easier for me ......

I'm not saying the above is the right way just the way I intend to do it .....unless some1 has a better idea :!:
