The knuckles will fit aslong as you remove the bell from the housing aswell this is how a few people are getting there stronger nissan front ends ....finding a bent GU housing and removing the entire knuckle/bell.... and refitting to the GQ housing ......

Well so Ive Heard anyway ;) ...the extra width on the GU is only in the knuckles so I'm lead to beleive .....so I would assume the extra length in only in the CV ??? although I have read of people fitting GQ cv's to GU in comps and shite ????

If you have the complete assembly just bolt it in or fit your centre in it if you have locka or different ratios if you dont know what ratio it is pull it out n check also if you have an old gq airlocker you can cut 5mm off each drive axle or get the later model cross shaft fitted
What a score!

if thats what you call them, but i diont think ou can get them offset that much, last i looked id say there is at least 10 degrees difference in them

Id definatly swap the whole front diff over, you will not regret it, and if you dont have a series 2 GQ, you might as well chase up a series 2 GQ power steer box, or a GU item and upgrade your steering as well,

dissasembled the GU housing this morning. man its bent took me an hour to remove the long side axle from the housing and i could only do that because i removed every stud from around the third member so i could rotate it a bit . measured the gq axle and not even the brakes are a bolt on changeover, so i might look into getting the housing straightened and trussed. as it would still be a cheep option as i got it for free in the first place
