Hi
Just a slippery question about grease. What is the difference between NLGI No. 2 and NLGI No. 1-1/2? Are they easily interchangeable if both Lithium based?
Thanks

Re: Grease Types - Whats the difference?
NLGI (National Lubricating Grease Institute) . Grease "softness" or "hardness" is rated at 25 deg C. Ratings go from 000 (very soft - fluid), 00,0, then 1 through to 6. You will rarely see a grease harder than a 3 nowdays.danos wrote:Hi

Can be interchanged, but make sure you use the right one. Grease is really only thickened oil.
Cheers.
