LSD not working

i've heard of some diff guys putting more clutches in the diff instead of spacers between the clutches to get better LSD action, but by the time you do that it's more expensive than a locker anyway. everyone has a different story about this oil or that oil making there LSD work better, best you could do is try a good quality LSD oil like penrite or a synthetic. might help a bit, but probably not enough for you to be happy with the result.
This may be a bit of a stab in the dark but anyway: Will any other LSD fit in a lux (I'm meaning live axled ones). Either whole centre, or just the internals (eg: clutch plates). It seems that allot of people rate the Toyota LSD's as rather 'average', whilst the Nissan ones for example get reasonable reviews. I also reckon that some of the Dana LSD's are reasonable. I know its probably not worth the effort for most, but the lux I'm doing up still has the axles apart, so I'll be interested if anyone actually knows?
Also slightly related topic, I already have one LSD, if I get another LSD cheap enough, does a lux behav 'strangly', or hard on steerng with two LSDs. Obviously not using 4WD on sealed surfaces.

Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.
