WIZARD 4" LIFT

Post by GUJohnno »

Just bought a new GU TD-6 and thinking of putting a 4" lift kit. Has any one had experience with the wizzard gear Was going to use Rancho shocks but have heard some bad and some good reports Should I pay the extra and get Koni shockies. It's a good truck and I want it to run nicely for day to day 'round the 'burbs. What do ya think.

Nothing wrong with the Wizard gear as i have there 6" kit & had no dramers. The only thing i need is to pack the front springs 20mm as they have saged slightly from the winch & b/bar.

Probebly similar to the stores down south.

My uncle has the 4" lift in his truck with the konis, his rear driverside spring also saged???

I was told they were powder coated King Springs, he also has a packer under it?

But all in all its fairly good, it does alright and he is running 35 with a bit of scrubbing.

Sorry ment $380 for front and rear :? :?
What you recon. Leave the LSD in the rear and air locker in the front or air locker in the rear first :?:

Air locker in both ! ;)

If ya not cashed up i would make use of the LSD as the Nissan one are quite good from what iv seen. Toyota LSD's are crap so make the most of it.

Quick disconnects are shonky, just scrap the swaybars.

Some are better than others, the disconnect is usually quick and painless, but reconnecting them is another story, roly stated 45mins one day..

Remove the front swaybar (they get ripped off on logs and rocks anyway), and leave the rear swaybar alone - it doesn't hurt your flex at all offroad and helps your handling on the road.

Cool. I've noticed how the front sway bar hangs low.
Went to Ceezy's factory today. Very interesting. Prob get him to do the lift and put some sliders on at the same time. He was talking about the tough dog shocks and has them on the back of one of his trucks. Look like they might be the go. Foam cell so they might be better for when i do an outback trip.

The old Tough dogs had a good rep, the new ones look like an awesome shock, with adjustability as a bonus.

Make no mistake that Wizard running gear is the best that money can buy. I have been fitting Brent's gear for a while now and I have many satisfied customers, and many capable rigs!!!!
I highly reccomend Wizard.
