6 coils, 3 body and still rubbing 35! im running 3inch coils and 2 body and with a little guard chop are running 38s with no hassels! Also i have done both a 5inch and 6 inch coil lift in the past on GQs and on both i put the tail shafts on the rear reversed and it fixed the crossmember problem. All im thinking is alittle less lift, with a good stroke Shock and a little guard trimming, and you can run a pretty fair size tire and still keep your stability
I just heated my crossmember up with an oxy then belted it in. easy.
I had 5 inch and my front shaft definatly hit.
You can go as high as you like just get width to compensate.
I had 38 boggers with 2 inch body and 5 inch springs and extensive guard chopping and they rubbed really bad. Most tyres will rub if you dont extend the bumpstops to suit. Its not a matter of just keep lifting to avoid rubbing.
You dont need to extend any of the control arms on a lwb. It is recommended though to help correct the angle for uni joint wear. Also the lower arms are weak and if you bend them you can do alot of damage and get stuck out in the bush. Cheap fix is to weld on some steel angle onto the underside
In terms of manslaughter they can say that your car was un roadworthy and that was the reason for the death.
Ive now got 2 inch body and 2 inch spring with 37's. Just cut the guards and extended bumpstops. Lovely
Been through the engineering side in Qld n there is a way to get the vehicles complied to the specs but unless you can get some one at the pits to sign it off, n they will not, there is no point.
Also with a 2" body lift it needs to be inspected n approved, even a 2"spring lift can get you vehicle manslaughter as any modification that is performed, ANY, changes the vehicle from original ADR approval even poly bushes, brake pads, disks ect if they want to push the point which is why you cant get the mods signed off
I'm running EFS coils in my shorty, 5" front, and 4" rear.
Already have drop boxes, adjustable panhards, longer trailing arms.
Problem is, I took it in for a wheel alignment, and the guy said they can't get it as good as it should be. What have I missed that would make a difference to the alignment?

The older style ones where but apparently the newer ones that Snake racing,BBM and other are selling are apparently ADR approved.

Brake lines, braided or otherwise, must be ADR approved to be passed on a rego's rig. Bias ply tyres are illegal if the vehicle was never produced from the factory with them, as they are a different construction tyre that the car was not designed to run, its to do with the handling etc and the ADR's the car complies too or simillar i think. Basically they are illegal :(

yeah, i'm getting one line made up, putting the front line on the rear and getting a longer front line, the guy who does mine wouldn't do it if it was illegal,
