Don' t know, did not see under the bonnet. But it is a v8 desiel with a turbo. I would guess it was a 6.5 lt v8 with twin turbo's. Also the front snorkels do not look big enough for an engine that size.
Sounded very nice.
It was used as a recover vechicle for the event. I think it broke the front diff as they had the CV's out ready to put new ones in but then put the old ones back in. So I think the actual diff was the problem. Was using 2wd in the afternoon with the front tail shaft removed.

Chris.
I believe the front two snorkels provided engine bay cooling and the two rear were for the air intake. I think that the motor was originally a 6.5L but is now a 7L It was going in 4wd on sunday and after the comp was finished went for a run - I have a picture (hopefully) of it bogged at the bottom of Hella hill (Adrians roll over hill) and it also went through the mud hole - quite impressive. Would have been more impressive if a Nissan had not driven the mud hole and where it was bogged right behind it. - Go the nissan!
